Each unit begins with a short and to the point review of material that is more fully treated in the "short English Handbook", followed by a cross-reference to the entry number in the main text. We then provide directions and a small group of sentences to be improved; there generally follows a second set of directions and another exercise that deal with a different feature of the problem. The Answer Key to each exercise is contained in the Instructor's Manual.
