"Insane men deny they are insane".
Great book, it took me a couple of tries to get into it. I have never read this author before, but once i was hooked, i couldn't put it down. It's a puzzle that when you think you have it solved, it adds more pieces. I don't want to give anything away, but nothing is what it seems in this book. And i hope the movie does it justice.

What a ride this thriller provides: more twists than a vertical coaster! Fast pace, complex characters, and images that haunt you long after you've finished reading: I can highly recommend this one.

While this book started off a little slow, it really picked up steam and became a page turner about a quarter of the way through. I really enjoyed this book, and would highly recommend it!

Even though I had already seen the movie based on this book, it was well written enough to keep me reading to the end. The main characters- Teddy Daniels and Chuck Aule, are two federal marshals sent on a mission to a facility for the criminally insane. The story unfolds around their trip to the island on which the facility is located and their search for a missing patient and the truth. There are many twists and turns in the story, all wonderfully described by Mr. Lehane and you find yourself guessing to the very end. Good read!!

An interesting read and concept-on that I rate Lehane five stars, but I felt I was deceived somewhat and that brings it down a little. It is not what I would say read again and I often read over and over but I did pass it on to my cousin to read. It is worth reading for a different kind of read. I cannot say more or give it away.
