All three of us gals have a cold this week, courtesy of the back-to-school bugs that the public school kids pass around in August and send home to mom and dad, who, in turn, bring to work and infect each other.

I wouldn't send my daughter to school feeling the way she does (sore throat, intermittent headache, intermittent belly ache, sneezing, and slight cough, but no fever), but we were able to get some of our schooling done at home. What do you do when the kiddos are not 100%? We skipped the thinkin' subjects, and stuck to me reading aloud from a few of our books. Then, we popped in a movie and relaxed. We read from The Borrowers, Little House on the Prairie, Kidnapped,  and The Burgess Animal Book. (Yeah, we keep a lot of books going at the same time lol)

I do the same thing - take it easy, lay low, but continue with some easy subjects!

We do about the same thing.  Sometimes we play  a game, but ususally reading and a movie. On those days where it is me not feeling well I give lot of independent work, math pages, handwriting, etc.

We do the same things also watch History Channel, Animal Planet or Learning Channel and  discuss  over soup and crackers.
