Fresh from finishing school, Sierra Alden was the toast of the Barbary Coast. And everybody knew a proper lady didn't go traipsing through untamed lands with a perfect stranger, especially one as devilishly handsome as Ramsey Hunter. But Sierra believed the rumors that said her long-lost brother and sister were living in Denver, and she'd imperil her reputation and her heart to find them.
Ram wasn't the type of man to let any woman boss him around. Yet from the instant he spied Sierra on the muddy streets of San Francisco, she turned his life up-side down. Before long, he was her unwilling guide across the wilderness and her more-than-willing tutor in the ways of love. But sweet words and gentle kisses weren't enough to claim the love of the delicious temptation called...SIERRA.

Wonderful book. Great adventure and romance. The best of Connie Mason I've had the pleasure of reading!!

At age 3, Sierra Larson was orphaned and left alone on the Oregon Trail when her parents were killed by Crow warriors and Cheyenne warriors carried off her brother and sister.
Sierra is rescued and is raised as the daughter of Lester Alden in a rich San Francico home. After being sent to a finishing school in the
East, Sierra returns to the Barbary Coast and began her quest to find her brother and sister who were rumored to be living near Denver. Since no society lady could travel alone, Ramsey Hunter is selected to help Sierra in the search for Ryder and Abby. Ram was not the type of man to let a woman boss him around and yet, Sierra turned his life upside down. He agrees (unwillingly) to be the guide for Sierra's search party. Soon they are lost in sweet words and gentle kisses.
This is book 3 in a trilogy that began with Tears Like Rain and Wind Rider. These stories are so compelling that I read all three books in 4 days. The characters are wonderful and the fantastic stories keep you turning the pages to find out what will happen next.
