Ugh. I have the worst luck with tradesize books.  Is it just me or do these things "cleave" really easily?  So I'm reading Secrets Vol 11.  I got it from Ebay and it was fine when I received it.  I posted a WL book and noticed the person also has this one their WL. So I think great, I'll read it and post it and save some postage.  Well it "cleaved all on it's own just from me reading it!  I've been gentle with it. It hasn't been dropped or tossed across the room or anything. So then I think, I'll offer it as a freebie with a 2 book order.  Well now the  pages are coming loose.  Grr.  On the plus side I can read it while eating or soaking in the tub.  Except it makes me angry to look at it now.  Am I the only one who ruins book even while making every effort to be gently with them?

I think they're not making books sturdy anymore..I have a lot do that and I can tell they've hardly been read. lori foster's anthologies I read recently did this to me.

Yes. Wanton Angels by Lori Foster.  3 books.  It cleaved while I was reading it too.

I was so paranoid while reading Enticing.  It was so big and heavy, I though for sure it was going to be cleaved by the time I finished it but it survived.  It seems to happen more with those heavily lamanated ones. The lamanating seems to protect the cover better but then the spine just snaps so easily.

Enticing was Casey Buckhorn's story and then another one connected to the Fallen Angels stories.

I've received a few that never should have been posted because they were falling apart.  I've repaird (glued and if necessary, taped before reposting; never had any complaints.  Can you repair?

Claudia is that you asking?  It's in italics which usually means someone is quoting another poster. But I can't find that in this thread.  I would never try to fix it and then repost it-not worth the trouble.  I think I'll offer it up as a freebie after I've finished it, I'm still on the last story.  I'm kind of just reading it while eating or in the bath tub  now since it's already unpostable.
