This is a well written old fashioned murder mystery. You can imagine you're watching a British TV mystery, Miss Marple or whoever. The dialogue, settings, characters are authentic BBC. Very entertaining.

This is a Sir John Appleby mystery revoling around high level art forgery: thrilling, witty and ingenious. An inimitable blend of urbanity, fantasy, erudition and violence. This is a fun piece of mystery fluff!
