Lovely, copper-haired Camry Parker kenw rought-and-ready Virginia City was no place for an unmarried girl. But to Camry's way of thinking, the bridgegroom her father selected was worse than the riffraff he was supposed to keep at bay. Nick Trelstad was nothing but a dusty silver miner, with more muscles and arrogance than any one man had a right to possess. His casual assumption that she would soon be begging for his touch enflamed her almost as much as the tantalizing nearness of his hard, bronzed body. Never, she vowed, would he know how she longed to be his wife in every sense of the word.

This was an pretty good read. Camry finds out that her father failed to pay her tuition at the private school she was attending and heads to Virginia City to find her father and see how's he doing. Her father tells her that she could stay if she found a husband in two weeks time or she would be shipped off to an Aunt in Scotland. After her time is up she finds herself being wed to a man her father chose and it takes her a while to realize that he truly was the man for her.
