This is one of those rare gems you're glad to have stumbled across, I absolutely loved it! Having family members who lived nearby to Wallace and worked in the mines there during the same time frame as the story, I couldn't wait to receive this book to get a little history and a feel for Northern Idaho during the early 20th century. There wasn't a lot of hard historical facts but it was a wonderful story about two families just living, working and surviving life in a typical mining town with both the God fearing and the sinning sides of life coexisting side by side. I didn't want this book to end as I came to feel of the main characters as old friends and couldn't wait to get back to the story each day. This is book two of a series and I highly recommend it!
