Hi all!

In Audiobooks, there is only one author whose stories I enjoy and those are by Nora Roberts/J. D. Robb.

Sadly, I'm coming up to the most recent book in the "In Death" series and I'm looking for some new series to take it's place.

Are there any series that are written similiar to the "In Death" series with the same H/H thread throughout, with mystery and romance in it?

Appreciate any suggestions?

This may not be exactly what you're looking for, but I've found the Mallory series by Carol O'Connell to have some similarities.  To me they just read like the "In Death" books.  They are psychological police procedurals set in NYC (although not in the future), with a female protagonist who is very emotionally damaged.  There is an ongoing -- albeit unrequited -- romance, as well.  The first book, Mallory's Oracle, is outstanding.  I don't know how they would be in audio.

Plenty of books in this series too.  I may read Book 1 in PB to give it a test.

Thanks!

Just make sure to start with the first one, because the series builds on itself.  Hope you like it!

I like Jeffery Deaver's Lincoln Rhyme series too.  Lincoln Rhyme is a paralysed cop who has a female cop working with him.  He remains in his bed while she goes out and does the "dirty" work.  Spine tingling, thriller and a touch of romance builds between the two over the series.

I'm not into audio so don't know how that will be.  Start with the first The Bone Collector because of all the usual reasons. :)
