Anyone read them?  I've been trying to find them at the library but they don't have any of them.  I managed to get the first 2 of the daemon series and am planning on starting them soon.  I've heard him be compared to Jim Butcher, but not as good.  I love the Dresden Files, so should I invest in the Nightside series if I can't get them at the library?  Are they worth the money?

i liked the Nightside, but they are short books.  also, i really didn't like the first Eddie Drood book, so if you don't like it don't automatically dismiss the Nightside books.

I've only read the first 2 but I do like them.  LIke Ellen said they are short quick reads.  I don't think they are as good as the Dresden Files but John has his quirks just like Harry has his.  Try the first one if you don't like it then don't bother but I would give it a try!!

I think they are great.  The plots are not the best I've read, but Greens makes up for them with his fast pace, vivid characters, and dark humor.  They are wonderful reads for entertainment purposes.

I adore the Nightside! If it were real, I'd have wound up there 30 years ago!

I read the first one but really didn't care for it--it read sort of like a cheesy "B" movie to me. LOL

that I had read and reposted.  I just started looking at these threads...wish I could have sent it your way.  I have to agree with Spuddie, not that good.  I posted a review of it after I read it a few weeks ago. I just couldn't help comparing it to Dresden, it just pales beside it.  I did like Drinking Midnight Wine by Green which I read  a number of years ago.  I would try that one.
