A simple introduction to the art of weaving for the beginner who does not own a loom. All the basic information, including how to build a loom should one so wish, is provided for anyone who wishes to take up the craft. The materials are simple and the techniques straightforward. Instructions are given for a variety of articles such as place mats, baskets, scarves, belts, pencil holders and boxes. The diagrams and photos illustrate not only basic methods but how to incorporate designs into the work and produce a variety of textures. An ideal book for potential weavers, young and old.
