"Six Bills," and each one of them has a secret! This is the first book of the Judge Carson series I've read, but I just trekked downtown to pick up another one. "Six Bills" kept getting better as it went along. A 30-year-old murder is the centerpiece, but everyone who was involved in the victim's Woodstock-era rock band is keeping a different secret. The Judge uncovers the secrets one by one, and keeps the reader juggling to add them all up until the very end. Power and political influence seem to have the upper hand, but the Judge stays on the trail until at last the truth wins out. Add this one to your TBR pile, close to the top.
