I mailed a book out this past January. It was received yesterday. How weird is that? |

Weird! When my books go lost they are never seen again............ |

Strange, but it happens every so often :-) |

When this happens I would love to know where they were, did they get kicked under a post office machine and hide for 6 months? Or did they go around the country 3 or 4 times by mistake? Or slide down the side of a postal employee's car seat until found while vacuuming? |

I've had that happen before, but on the other end....7 months after ordering a book! It arrived in perfect shape, intact wrapper, mailed on the day the sender had originally marked it mailed....I also often would like to hear the story about where the book has been! It's probably something boring, like stuck in a crack behind a cupboard in some post office back room, but I'd still like to know! LOL Cheryl |

This gives me hope!! I had 3 WL books being sent from a buddy go lost a couple months ago. I'd be thrilled if they showed up one day!! They're all back on my WL & seem to be moving so slooow. :( Better late then never. Last Edited on: 6/23/09 2:16 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

Happened to me summer before last. Almost new hardback book mailed in January, showed up in July. The receiver said it looked nice and clean, like I'd just mailed it the week before. More recently I mailed a small paperback First Class from Virginia to Pennsylvania, which normally takes 2 or 3 days at most. It took a full 3 weeks to arrive. You have to wonder what causes the derailment. |

I had one that showed up 6 months after it was marked lost. If only these books could tell us where they've been! LOL |

Not a PBS order, but while I was out in rural AZ, I was waiting for a letter that was taking too long to arrive, so I asked the contractor to look in her vehicle - sure enough, it was under the seat...!! |
