Hey ya'll,

Okay I'm not sure if this is against the club rules or not, posting this up, but My friend Gina Gordon will be taking on the role of Vice President for the RWA's ( Romance Writer's of America ) Erotic Romance chapter, Passionate Ink.  And she is in need of judges for the Sixth Annual Passionate Plume Contest.  So I figured the best way to round up some judges for this thing was to post up an announcement up here in the Love & Romance forum.  Here is the announcement she asked me to post up for ya'll. :

Looking for judges for the 2011 Passionate Plume Contest.  This is the only all erotic romance contest for published authors through the Romance Writers of America chapter, Passionate Ink.  You will be asked to read a minimum of 5 books and complete a score sheet.

If you like steamy, sexy, love scenes, hot alpha-males and romance please sign up!  If you're interested, email the contest coordinator at pp6.coordinator@gmail.com for more information.

So if you are interested sign up. And .... hopefully the powers that be don't remove this.  : }

I hope they don't remove it either, Jessica.  I think it is great that readers like the ones here will get to participate.  Sign up gals!

I emailed also.  I'm also going to copy your post Jessica and put it in the DOS chatroom thread on the Games forum.   Your friend will have more offers of judges that she'll know what to do with!

For emailing on a Saturday night, I certainly got a quick response back.  Sounds like she'll need a lot of judges!

Hey Amber, I'm not sure how many books there will be for judges to weed through since the sign up for published authors to enter this contest is going on right now. But I'm sure she said between 5-7 books per judge. I think, but don't quote me on that. lol.

Ah! Sarah, thank you for posting this in the DOS chatroom.  {{hugs}}

Pamela, you're right. I don't think many people get an opportunity like this.

I'm a judge too.  Quite excited also!  Of course, it'll be February before we have anything to read but what better way to spend the month?

I agree, it is quite exciting. I think the only think I ever judged was whose burp was the loudest between my male ken folk. *shudders* This should be more pleasant. LOL.

I wonder if we got the same ones. I'm glad we have until March 21st to score these because since my aunt passed and we're still trying to figure out funeral arrangements everything's gone crazy on my end and I'm behind on reviews again. I seriously thought it was February 28th the day before yesterday and nearly cried because I thought I was that far behind. lol.

I am also glad we have until then because I've had some family staying with me for the past month & haven't had the time to read much.

I am sorry about your aunt!! frown

No, I didn't get that one.  I did get 5 books to read though.  Am already starting the first one.

I don't have Word on my laptop though so I'm gonna have to figure out how I can fill in the judging page and send it back.  I just have the Word Viewer so I can read it but that doesn't allow me to make any changes to send it back.

I think I got a few other books sent to me also but I haven't opened the emails yet.

I will probably have to score mine at work because I have Word on here but it's an old outdated version & I've tried updating it but I just get error messages.  Is there any way you could try to do the score sheet somewhere else instead of by having to use your laptop?

I didn't get that one either. I got :

Turn It On by Vivian Arend

Hot In The Clutch by Anna Jacobs

Razors Edge by Jayne Rylon

Perfect For Each Other by Jane Kent

Falling Free Style by Vivian Arend

Gina saved the scoring sheets to regular word pad, I think, the one that's already on your computer when you get it. If you are having problems with making changes or whatever contact Gina. She'll have more answers than me. :)

My others are:

Make a Wish & Blow ~Christina James

Lost & Found ~Kelly Jamieson

Caught By Surprise ~LD Madison

Whirlpool: Forces of Nature ~Vivian Arend

Enticement ~Madelynne Ellis

Most of mine seem fairly short & they probably won't take very long to read. I am excited!!  This is fun!

OK, I'm a total idiot, and didn't realize that we would be getting eBooks. I don't have an eReader, either. :( I do have a netbook, though, so that might make them easier to read.

My books are:

Secret Desires by Cara Bristol

Tempting Alibi by Savannah Stuart

Rock My World by Lex Valentine

Geek Love by Mechele Armstrong (excited about this one!)

Hot in the Clutch by Ann Jacobs
