Where is David Baldacci and what have you done to him? So many questions about this book: Was there a word minimum? Was there a contest to see how many times the characters could eat at a diner?...or rent a car?...or fly on a plane?
Yes, I read the entire book and plowed my way to the end...which was not a surprise.
I was so disappointed in this one.

David Baldacci is hit or miss. He is churning out a couple a books a year these days and to do so he often abandons critical elements of writing such as plot, character development and serious dialogue. Initially "The Sixth Man" seemed farfetched (but with the government who knows) but I began to get into the story as it progressed - in other words, it got better. A couple of plot twists weren't hard to figure out in advance but Baldacci revealed them in such as way that it still had an impact. "The Sixth Man" is more hit than miss. If you like Baldacci, you probably won't be disappointed.

As usual, Baldacci keeps things moving with plenty of action, tension, bad guys and good guys.

One of the very best King and Maxwell thrillers yet! Who can be trusted, and who're the bad one(s) at the highest government levels? Convoluted as a pile of spaghetti, and a totally unanticipated twist at the end. Non stop action and thoroughly enjoyable.

Lots of action and situations that seem too difficult to get out of..one of the better storylines.
