One of the funniest books I remember reading as a kid, I looked it up again as an adult to buy for my kids. I think it's a great book to hook boys into reading as it's about baseball, but I laughed just as loud as a girl. I remember laughing out loud until it hurt when I read this and remembering the funny parts still gives me a chuckle.

The book is good clean fun and, although clearly written with children in mind, is good for a laugh regardless of your age. Skinnybones is a classic of children's comedic literature and deserves a place on the shelf of any child with a healthy imagination and good sense of humor.
