Very funny audio book. The movie Christmas with the Kranks is based upon this book... However, the audio is much better than the movie!!!

THIS BOOK IS WAY LEFT FIELD OF ANYTHING I HAVE EVER READ OF JOHN GRISHAM'S! IT IS A FUNNY, WARM, WONDERFUL BOOK & I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH GOOD ABOUT IT. NOT YOUR TYPICAL GRISHAM BOOK! MADE ME ALL WARM & FUZZY...I LOVED IT!!

This was a fun book to listen to. Much better than the movie! My husband and I listened to this on a road trip together and we both enjoyed it very much. It was funny and not too heavy so it made the drive great.
The Krank's have decided to skip Christmas and take a cruise because their only child has left the nest. They are not prepared for all of the consequences of their decision. Very good book
OK. I think I will stick with Grisham's other genre, though.

I just couldn't get into this book at all - maybe because I've seen the movie which didn't do much for me either.
The narrator does a GREAT job. The sarcasm in Mr. Krank's thoughts really made me giggle. Highly entertaining story. Hilarious relationships between neighbors and excessive holiday expectations make life tough for the Kranks. Light-hearted ending brings the "spirit of the season" all back around.
This is the book that the movie "Christmas with the Kranks" was based off of. The movie stars Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis. I recently finished the book and then watched the movie several days later...I was surprised how close the movie was to the book. They didn't leave much out.
