I love Catherine Asaro's Skolian Empire saga. The characters are fully realized and intriguing, the plots are deliciously complex, and the writing excellent. Skyfall is no exception and tells the story of how Roca and Eldrinson met. I read it back in the late 90s and wanted to reread it after reading Diamond Star, the story of one of Eldrinson and Roca's many children, Del Arden. It's also the story of how Kurj became Imperator. Sorry guys, this one's a keeper.
