The novel introduces us to the family ? the father, Griffin who rules with an iron fist, the mother, Grace who has withdrawn from the family and sits in a room and has formed attachments to a teapot, and the children who all have differing relationships with their father.
Their existence is threatened by the arrival at the caravan park of Bow Fox, an artist who travels the country painting landscapes. He challenges the family and the life they lead. It is when Oliver Willow lets slip a family secret in a conversation with Bow that the family feels their very existence will be threatened. The children?s plan to silence Bow Fox backfires and their world is turned upside down.
This is definitely a novel that is only suitable for older readers from 16 years upwards as there are some confronting issues within the novel. It is a gripping read and is extremely well written.« less
