Bailey White's stories are really very funny ... but after a while, you start to notice that she's kind of mean-minded. I don't believe I'd care to be marooned with her on a desert island with limited resources.

Typical Bailey White: hilarious stories about the South. If you have read Mama Makes Up Her Mind, you know what I mean. Poignant, side-splitting, wise. Any fan of Southern fiction has to get to know Bailey White!

This book is a compilation of columns the author wrote for NPR. I love the stories regarding going to live with an eccentric older relative.
