Smart Mouth Author:Erin McCarthy When FBI agent Derek Knight loses a piece of crucial evidence to sexy cub reporter Reese Hampton, who's desperate for a story, they join forces--professionally and passionately.
The bad news about this book is that the plot is very thin; the good news is that the writing is witty and sexy. Journalist wannabe,Reese Hampton gets an important FBI document by mistake, putting her in the middle of a juicy story, but against FBI agent, Derek. What follows is steamy scenes and very funny dialogue.
Like bad porn, this book had little or no plot and too much sex. I finished it because I can't stand unfinished business but if I had to do it all again I would not have waisted a credit on it. Oh...and I did not rate it 3 1/2 stars but it won't let me change it.
I rarely stop reading a book once I've begun but this book fell into that category. You're immediately asked to believe that an FBI agent whose been reprimanded twice would allow a woman to continuously run over him as he tries to recoup an envelope left in a wrong car. Then, because they're both SO incredibly good looking, they have no choice but to immediately fall into bed together and he's going to work with her, a newspaper reporter, again, because they're both so beautiful. Too much. First Erin McCarthy book I've been disappointed with but it's a doozy.
