This volume is the 7th in the series and introduces two new major enemies that Ben Raines and his Rebels will have to battle. Here we meet the repugnant "Night People" and also a terrorist from Libya who has brought a large army to conquer what is left of America. We also are provided with glimpses of how people fall from civility to destruction with some pretension thrown into the mix.

There is quite a bit of continuity of storyline from one volume to the next. Best read in the order as published. I have read from this series at the beach, late into the night when sleep has been elusive and have found the books to be a great diversion from the boredom of airport and flights.

As usual, this book was as good or better than the series I have read.
