I just looked at it today and I have 35 books on the list.  Nine of them will be coming out soon.  Eight of them have estimated times of 1 week to 79 weeks until I might see them.  18 books have no available time estimate, snivel, snivel. sniff, sniff.

You know I have absolutely nothing to read except the books I had on my shelves before I joined PBS.  Couldn't resist that poke in my own side.

It really doesn't matter how long it takes at this point because I do have plenty to read.  If I run out which I can't imagine Amazon is out there as well as lots of other book stores.

Anybody else in the same situation?.

Um.......no. LOL I have about 600 books on my TBR, and my wishlist is almost full. Most of them have no estimate of when they'll be posted, but I seem to get an average of 3-4 books a week.

Sounds like you might have a field day rummaging through my TBR stacks, Geri...but you would have to wrestle me to get any of them. LOL

Do you ever use the library? I almost never actually purchase books anymore--just a couple times a year--and fortunately have a great library system where I can get anything from any of the 26+ branches delivered to the one just a few blocks from my house. That helps a lot with series books that I have been on the WL eons for here, or new authors I want to try but don't really want to spend a credit only to find out I want to throw the book across the room. LOL

Cheryl I love the library but...isn't that always the word?  They're not close and have inconvenient hours too.  It's been quite a while since I've purchased a book.  This from a person who spent anywhere from $75 to $100 a week on mmpbs at one time.

I got ya beat - I have over 700 books on my TBR pile.  I'm really not on pins and needles waiting for these books, just sniveling, lol.

Stop sniveling, Geri! If you snivel, you'll drip on your books and make them unpostable! LOL

Maybe I will come and raid YOUR TBR pile instead.  After all, there's no such thing as too many books! :)

I no longer admit to how large my TBR  stack has become and I still have a pile of library books to finish, so I'm definitely not hurting for reading materials.

That said, I can sympathize with you about your WL angst. My WL is almost full (197 books). A dozen or so books are anticipated to reach my turn within the next month while 150+ are so obsure that no estimate is offered. I also have 'helpful' estimates including 100, 107, 112,  and my personal favorite, 813 weeks. I guess it's good to know that I should have something good to read in about 15 1/2 years, right? LOL.

Yep, now I gotta stop sniveling.  One of my WL books was posted last nighr and mailed too!  Now I can swing the other way and snivel because I have too many books...lol.

Cheryl anytime you wanna come and raid my TBR pile, you're welcome.  Just handle with care so they can be reposted.  Hee-hee

So true Geri, I definately whine over how few of my wishlisted books become available each month...as if my TBR wasn't fat and healthy!  My local library system is close, convenient, and well stocked.  Unfortunately, they want their books returned...can you imagaine?  So I have nothing to trade when finished reading...therefore the library doesn't meet all my reading needs :-)

The vast majority of the 200 books on my WL have apparently never been posted on PBS and have no estimate. Many of them will probably never be posted in the future either, but I have gotten quite a few books I never expected to. My TBR is about 700 now, though, so I have no shortage of things to read while I wait!

Well.....there are some hardcover copies of Sail, by Patterson, in the system - that would bring you down to 34!

Since the wishlist estimates started appearing, I've been pleasantly surprised to receive a few books that had never been posted and didn't have any estimate.  So there is hope!
