Even if I spent all the days of my life in the one life I have to live, on this or another world, I would have to be confined to some general hospital or have all my children threatened to be able to finish this book, it is that bad.Soap Scum would have been a more appropriate title.

hugggge disappointment. I love Finola Hughes and chick-lit but this was just...banal.

It was pretty good. I can't help wondering if Finola based her character's soap character's name on her own soap characters' names (Anna Devane on General Hospital and Alex Devane Merrick on All My Children). I can't help wondering if some of the characters are based on real actors (I'd bet anything Edith Oakley is based on Anna Lee! That reminds me, I wear a hearing aid. I'm going to have to see if Edith's suggestion really works. ;) ). It's a fun read. The only thing I didn't like was the ending. It was sweet, but I think it could have been better.

I love Finola Hughes as an actress, and as an author, she's pretty good (but obviously has a co-writer doing most of the writing, while she provides the details). This story was fun, since I'm a big soap fan, and I enjoyed trying to figure out which soap characters the people in the book were modeled after. If you like "General Hospital," or even if you don't, you'll really like this book.

Great book giving you an idea of what goes on behind the scenes of a soap opera! Love Finola Hughes as an actress and reality show host and now as an author!!
