With so much emphasis on relationships, many people feel there is something wrong with them if they're alone. AND it makes them worse when they go through the loss of a loved one. But there's nothing with being alone and if you know HOW to be alone, solitude plays an important role in helping people feel complete and ultimately happy.

Freudian approach to solitude, heavy on analysis, with little or no insight into what "real" solitude is all about. If you are of the Freudian POV, you will appreciate this author's comments on the subject.
