tell me whether To Kill A Mocking Bird and Wuthering Heights are Historical Fiction? ... not sure if it's about when it was written or the time period it covers.

I think I would consider both of them HF.  Wuthering takes place 46 years before it was published and Mockingbird was written in the 60's and takes place during the great depression. Some people go by the 50 year rule and with that neither would qualify but I'd say at least wuthering is close enough.

Thanks Holly (and don't take this wrong...) but are you the authority? Is anyone the authority? Am I in trouble?

I'd say no...unless you are wanting to use them in the challenge.... in that case, I'd say yes; sure, it's H/F!

But then you have to back me up if I stick something that isn't quite right into my challenge (especially if Deb notices)...You rubba my back, I rubba yours. ;-)

Christa is the 3rd Gentle Coordinator, but I agree with Holly.

LOL at Valli!

I may be the Gentle Coordinator, but I by no means consider myself the authority.  We ALL know who that is around here!  LOL!

Don't worry, Vicky, I think we're all chopped nuts.

You need to pinch me every time I add an "I" to your name. My cousin's is spelled that way and I just can't stop myself. This is going to be my New Year's Resolution! No I's next year!

Next year, I will spell her name wrong, lol.

Bwahahaha, VickYYYYYY!! That made me laugh out loud for reals. :-D

I spent most of my life with people trying to spell my name as "Valley", so I should be more careful with the names of other people!! Then, my last name is an odd one, too; one that developed into a stupid nickname. My last name is Avinger, with all short vowel sounds - "A" like apple and "i" like pin. But, kids would change the "A"  to an "uh" sound and call me "Valli, the Avenger", while using their best superhero voice, of course, and flying about the room like Superman. LOL! I'd yell at them to stop, but secretly I liked being a superhero. :-D
