She writes non-fiction. I actually ordered Courtesans through PBS a while back and thoroughly enjoyed it-- very informative and readable. She focuses on a couple of courtesans from different time periods (all 18th & 19th century) and places (England and France) and gives you chapter-long biographies of each. It was a quick fun read. I haven't been able to get ahold of Daughters of Britannia yet.

Thanks Tess I have the Courtesans, the reviews were so mixed on her work.  But  I am interested in the topic, so I give it a try.
