An actress is driving to meet her husband at their mountain cabin when she is run off the road. She awakens in the hospital to find that her husband is missing. Throughout the book she finds out some disturbing information about her husband.

This was okay, but I found the romance part of it to be too syrupy. Then again, I don't like romance novels! This one was a mystery/romance, so I should have known better. =)

This is my 2nd Judith McNaught book. I love the way her characters build. I find myself liking them one chapter and hating them the next. It takes skill to be able to engage the reader like that. Leigh finds out her husband isn't the man she thought he was and Leigh runs into an "old Italian friend" from years ago. And there is the "other woman"..By the end of the book I am at my destination, but I am still in my car listening, as I need to know whats happening next. It's not the typical 'my husband cheated on me' book. This is much more than that, as Leigh learns about her past and where those pears came from..
