I befriended someone on this site because this person and I share an interest in similar books.  Recently, in an email, this membr told me her real identity and I had an "OMG!!!!" moment.  I truly had no clue who she was until I saw the proof.  She is a published author and the author of one of my favorite books.  I gush about that book all the time.   What a small world!  I'm thankful I "met" her through PBS.

That IS cool!  But I've wondered sometimes if there are authors here under pseudonyms who read negative comments about their books!  I guess it's all part of the game, like getting a bad review somewhere.

There are authors here on PBS!  I've met a few in the forums.

If I were an author, I would be interested in seeing what "real people" think of their work. And why shouldn't authors want to share books just like we do!

Once I posted a somewhat scathing comment of a book I've read and the author PMed me about it a few months later! She was nice about it though and I invited to the DOS chat and she stopped by a few times and even gave away some books to some of the other ladies.
