The other day somone ordered a 2/1 deal on my books ,and I also had a wish list book that I posted to her.  I was about to mail today and there was a message from her asking why one of the books ( non wish list one )  was cancelled.....I didnt cancel it, and i know she didnt because it was already printed .When I checked into my transaction archive this is what is says.....I'm not even awake at 3 AM...what is going on

I just sent a message to PBS

Looks like it timed out after 5 days.  25, 26, 27 28,  29 that's 5 days, then on the 30th it cancelled (timed out) because it was not marked mailed.  Since you accepted the request you should have had a 2 day grace period to mail.  Something's weird going on for sure. 

The wisk list book was not canceled from her order  ,this is what it says

I will mail this by: 10/31/2015 11:00 PM ET

I'm sure PBS can straighten this out for you.  You could proceed with mailing or if your worried, you could repost the book and have her reorder.  That seems like a hassle so hopefully PBS will take quick action.  

When did you offer and accept the wl book?

Now that I think about it ,when I told her about the WL book she didnt have a credit and asked if I could wait a couple days and I did ,and I pick a different date so I could mail all of them together.......and a different date came up to mail by.

There you go!  Now you have to decide how to proceed.  

Since I have all three packaged up and ready to go ,I asked if she wanted to re-order. So I dont have to open up the package.

I myself would go ahead and mail and send her a message to reorder and have faith that she's a decent person who will do the right thing.  I cannot tell you what's right for you but worrying is bad for my health.  

Just cancel the whole damn thing and deal with s reliable person. Who needs this stress!!!

Mary , it may have very well been my fault .

What may have happened is something that I have encountered before. If a member orders multiple books from you but does so on different days, the system will show the entire order with the farthest date out to be mailed but, internally, it is still keeping the original mail by date for the individual books.

i.e. someone orders book one and you agree to mail it by x date. Two days later they order another book and you agree to mail by y date. The system combines the orders under the mail by y date. But when the first book reaches the x date and you don't mark it mailed, it will be canceled for no response from sender. Does that make sense? I have had this happen a handful of times and it's very frustrating. I contacted PBS about it but apparently it is not a common enough problem to require a fix or it can't be fixed, I don't know.

Lori, thank you for that info. I could not figure out why Lisa did not get the 2 day grace period. The system combined the orders but kept the original day and maybe dropped the grace period ??

I have learned not to accept anything right away.  I take time to look at their wl and see if I want to offer wl titles or a deal.  I like to wait for their response before I accept the original offer.  

Thank you Lori , I think that is what happen. I should not have picked a mailing date for the first book until I posted the WL book.That make perfect sense.

In the future , I will wait until I have checked the WL and seen if there was anything else that I could offer.

She re odered and I mailed the package out today. So all turned out fine.

I guess I thought that the second mail by date would be for all the books.
