This books is a sequel to the author's _Rosemary's Baby_ from 30 years earlier. It cleverly weaves society's fears and hype about the imminent arrival of the Millenium into the plot, takes a satirical poke at televangelism, and has a humorous ending (believe it or not!)

Yes, siree, its 1999, and just as the last member of the old Bramford coven kicks the bucket, Rosemary Woodhouse awakens with a start from the three-decade-long coma into which she was conveniently cast (a few years after the previous novel ended). And what a shockaroo shes in for. As are we

Rosemary's been in a coma and wakes up to a grown son. He's charismatic and personable, almost to mythic proportions. All loose ends from the original book, "Rosemary's Baby," has been neatly tied up. The first book was a great stand-alone horror book. The shock of finding out that Rosemary's baby was a by-product of a witch's coven was scary enough. If you must know what happened after the birth, then this is the book to read.

This is a book well worth reading if you have read rosemary's baby. It is interesting what the son of Satan is like. Read this book if for nothing more than the ending.

The sequel is rarely as good as the original, but this one provides follow up and closure from the first book.

While a pretty interesting apocalypse book, it certainly wasn't Rosemary's Baby. To me, the only real commonality was the names of the two main characters, but it almost feels like that was something changed at the last moment to get the novel to piggyback on the success of Rosemary's Baby. It's still an interesting & fun book on its own, though.
