I really enjoyed this story. It always amazes me how authors like Morrison are able to come up with such amazing details and story lines. She really created an amazing, disfunctional family/community.

Milkman Dead was born shortly after a neighborhood eccentric hurled himself off a rooftop in a vain attmept at flight. For the rest of his life he, too. will be trying to fly. With this brillantly imagined novel, Nobel Prize laureate Toni Morrison audaciously transfigures the coming-of-age story.
