Nah, it was pretty petty.

How about...what is your opinion about school starting in a few days?

I am freakin out! =p First year teacher here. 8th graders...yeah. I am excited and I have been waiting for this for years but wow, it is going to be hard. I am one who wants everything to turn out perfectly and that just isn't going to happen. Good thing I am also a flexible person who likes to think on her feet. I don't know why I can't get over making mistakes though. =/ Wish me luck!

Adrinne- I taught 7th grade for 4 years.. best piece of advice I got was "scare the Sh!& out of them for the first week/month... then have fun once they know they can't walk all over you"  :)    Good luck :)

and I remember the original post- if it makes her happy good for her... I think she's still searching since she never had a childhood and not even sure herself of who she really is... :)

Yeah, I am going to try my best to scare them. =p I want them to realize that if they want to do fun activities they have to behave and respect me and the stuff in the room. I also think the main thing for a smooth class is to respect the kids. I have seen a lot of disrespect for students in the past and it does not go well. =/

(My post was about Lindsay Lohan so as not to be so cryptic. (= )

I think you are right about her. It must be so hard to have your life constantly in the press, especially as a young child. I just watched her in Georgia Rule. She is such a great actress, I wish they would leave her alone. It is people like me who makes it worse on her though. I do like to follow their lives. I guess I feel that is a part of the life they chose, you know? It would be nice if it wasn't but they become so popular by the work they do. =/ I don't support rag mags though, they are constantly harrasing celebs. Not cool. I like it when they choose to do interviews.

I missed the whole Lohan thing.  What was the deal?

School can't start soon enough for me!

She is in a relationship with Samantha Ronson. I was just pondering the way the media was portraying it. Some think that she is just out for attention. I was also surprised that it wasn't a bigger story. I don't know. Just trying to understand how homosexuality plays out in the media, especially with celebs. They seem to dance around it in magazines. Are they afraid of saying something wrong?

Oh, I have no idea who that is.  I think it's probably Lindsay's business.  I don't understand why all celebrities don't keep their love lives private.  Plenty of them are able to.

I don't know if they are or not. They are pretty much hounded by the media because people like to hear about them. I dunno, I wish they could choose to do stories only if they wanted to. You know, they could submit their family Christmas pictures to magazines. =p I respect when people don't want their kids to be seen (Johnny Depp doesn't) and I don't think they should publish pictures of the family if they aren't in the business. If they are actors though I almost feel like publicity is part of the job. Heck, some of them became actors for the attention from the media.

Johnny Depp does a great job at remaining private, as does Jodie Foster.  Probably more whom I can't think of right now.  I just don't understand why more can't do it or insist upon it.  It's not like they don't have the money to make it happen....

I think they should fund research on an invisibility cloak. Now that is what all those millions should be going towards if you ask me. =p

Adrienne, the pentagon is actually currently funding research on an invisibility cloak! It's been all over the lit blogs for a few days and I was able to find this article on CBS' website. Just google "real invisibility cloak" for more stories.

The media will probably be ALL OVER one of the actors in the new season of SURVIVOR..... who is openly gay.

Watching a preview of the show, ...hubby piped up to say "Oh yeah, he's Gay!" to the one I thought was cute.   I figure, WHO CARES if he's straight or gay or lavender?!  Maybe it's his way of feeling better that I'm drooling over some guy on TV (no worrying that I'll look the guy up and go boink him!!)..   What is it with men being jealous of some hottie we drool over on the television?!!  Good grief!

Anyways....... just wait until I tell hubby that "I" am gay. Haha! J/K
