I liked the premise of the book. Japanese American and Southern girl fall in love in the days before WW2

A wonderful story about a horrible time in American history. This is about Mr. Oto who is Japanese and Sophie who grew up thinking another man always loved her, but then he died in WW1. Different writing style than what I am used to, but it was still a great book once you got over that part of it.
