I recently took my account off vacation hold and somehow when I did so I made all the books on my TBR list avaliable to order.  Several of which were on other people's automatic Wish List.  Since I haven't read those books yet, I had to cancel the orders.  So if you were one of those people, I'm sorry.  I will read them as fast as I can and post them as soon as I can.

To anyone official from PBS.com, it was an honest mistake.  Please don't count it against me.  I love this site and would hate to have my account closed.

It happened because when you marked those books received you put them on your bookshelf on hold.  Then you must have used the unhold button instead of the vacation button.

You might wish to send Feedback to the team (using Contact Us) at the bottom of each page if there was a quirk that posted all the books on your TBR list into the system. Sorry, I don't use the TBR list so I don't know if this is a mistake on the end user's part or something system-wide that went wrong.

The site administrators don't read the forums, usually.

I don't think it was a glitch. When you  mark books received, it will automatically put the books on your bookshelf on hold unless you check the box no.  These wouldn't be affected by vacation hold coming on and off. But if you checked all books and clicked unhold-it would post them into the system.

Aww, I'm sorry that this happened to you!

I think that I might use the contact button and let them know what happened, if many books were involved. I can't imagine that it would be held against you, though. Mistakes do happen.

No, it wasn't a glitch.  I remember what I did now.  It wasn't on the official vacation hold because I really had no idea how long it would be before I was ready to send out books again.  So, when I came back, I just took my whole bookshelf off hold.  I was away too long, I guess I forgot how things work.

You know when you do it that way, you lose your place in the FIFO lines.  I frequently put my account on vacation hold for months at a time. Ususally for budgetary reasons, sometimes because I have quite a few credits built up.  So I'll load my shelf up with heavily posted book to work their way up FIFO and then go on vacation while I read them.  I just autorequest WL books until I get too low on credits.
