This is a nice handy quick reference book to help you with the South Beach Diet. A lot of good information on what foods you can eat at home and especially out to dinner.

This book was well written & had a lot of great pointers. Also has some good recipes. A must read for anyone trying to improve their lifestyle and incorporate a better diet & way of living that fits into everyday normal life with "normal" eating.

Seems more balanced than the Atkins diet and enjoyed the tasty recipes and snacks. Worthwhile reading on health and nutrition.

No carbs for two weeks, then start adding things back in slowly.

This book is well researched, easy to read, and makes good sense to me. I have a good, standard understanding of nutrition and how the human body works as a machine. Calories as fuel, if not used then they are stored. This book reiterates that principle and shows you how the KIND of calories matters, especially when trying to trim/slim and make your machine work more efficiently.

I have been adhering to the SBD principles for about 6 weeks now and have lost approx 18-20lbs. The plan and course of action works. I keep it by my bed for "reminder" reading from time to time.

Doesn't require that you starve yourself. You can still eat normal size helpings of meat, poultry and fish. Snacks are required. Includes meal plans.

While it wasn't the diet for me, it did work. Interesting take on how to eat.
