Think that the way this book is classified sums it up extremely well: "Marriage - Humor; Divorce - Humor; New Orleans - Humor; Love - Humor; Dogs - Humor; Southern states - Humor; Social life and customs - Humor; American wit and Humor". Didn't like it quite as well as the humor in The Sweet Potato Queens books, but LOVED all the references to and information about New Orleans.

Fun, entertaining reading.

This is a really unusual love story that takes place after the divorce. It's very sweet and parts of it are very funny.

The book took a long time for me to get into because of the Author's writing style
I stuck with it though and was rewarded with lots of laughs. There are also a lot of great recipes which I copied before passing the book on to the rest of my reading group.

Once you get on to her style, the book is a fast read and very entertaining.

Wryly funny yet bittersweet - written in a loose, conversational style similar to her sister's, Jill Connor Browne, of Sweet Potato Queen fame...

This wasn't really as funny as acclaimed....or maybe I just don't have the same sense of humor.
