Sharon Kay Penman just posted the information for her Eleanor of Aquitaine tour to France: Sharon's Eleanor Tour.

I'm drooling at the prospect -- remote as it may be for me. Anyone in this forum going???

(ETA: You need to scroll down on her blog page to see the itinerary and costs.)

I am definitely going!  If I win the lottery!  If I win the lottery we will all go!

Oh, that would be really exciting, but I don't think I can be away that long. My little nervous Pickle hyperventilates if I'm gone overnight. After 10 days, I'm sure my husband would have him wrapped in a teeny-tiny straight-jacket.

Of course, my husband would probably wrap me up in a bigger straight-jacket if I said I was running off to France this year, so I guess I better pass. Darn it.

I'd also have to win the lottery, but sigh!

Yep, I'd need the lottery too and a babysitter for the dogs.

I sent it to my husband and asked if he wanted to be the best husband in the world.  He told me he thought he already was...  He did at least check to see what airfare would be - about $1700.  It makes it a little pricey - too bad our 20th anniversary wasn't next year.  I"m not sure 21 years warrants such a grand "gift"!

I just saw on Face book that the tour is sold out and that they didn't even have to advertise.  So SKP says that there is talk of a tour next year to Wales.

Glad to hear none of you considered staging a robbery to get the $$$$ !   Yours truly, a friendly interloper on this Forum and an occasional reader of HF

Wow -- that sold out quickly. On a whim, I asked my husband about it the other day -- to my immense surprise, he was interested and was actually considering it -- but the price and the question of what to do with high school daughter gave us pause -- oh, well -- now we have time to save up for Wales -- or plan a robbery (good idea, Bonnie).

I would actually like to do the Wales one more anyway! Wales is at the top of my "To Visit" list whenever I can force my hubby into retiring. Since he knows I want to travel so much, he'll probably never retire, lol. My man is a homebody! For him, nothing is better than home and he doesn't want to spend more than a few days away at a time. I might just have to leave him at home and go! ;-)
