I wouldn't recommend this one to anyone who is sensitive to violence.
Strangely enough, I am such a person, but this one didn't have me slamming the book shut never to open again.
In fact, it pulled me in.
At one point, I hated Vadim. At another, I was crying "mercy" for him.
I couldn't believe that I started to like him.
Wasn't surprised at Dan show of savagery. And again, at one point of the story, I was crying "Dan! stop it! enough already"!

Some parts of this story kind of jump around, but I was able to stay focus on what was happening through out.

I'm also surprised that it's free in ebook! I would have gladly paid money for what this story pulled out of me emotionally! and no, it's not easy to get a reaction out of me like it did while reading.

I finally feel like I just read "War & Peace".
