Chesney Carlyle followed Isabella Greenlea when she was sent to London to find a husband afraid she would choose an inappropriate alliance. This suited Isabella, for Ches was the husband she had chosen. While he drew up lists of candidates, Isabella seemed to be all but seduced by an impoverished earl, his eccentric aunts, & the spectre that haunted their mansion.
