If you are looking for a Stephanie Plum type series.. wonderful characters, lots of humor BUT a lot more gore and sex, try the Jack Daniels series... Jack is Jackline Daniels.. a female police detective that has a handful of friends that help her out of her multitude of problems...

The best way to enjoy them is audio. I checked them out from the library. The narration is wonderful.

Its on my reminder list.  Thanks for the thumbs up.  I love the gore and sex comment.  That's what Stephanie Plum could use sometimes.  :)

I recently acquired the paperback of Whiskey Sour in a game.  If I like it I'll try one on audio.

I've posted this before.  The first book was good, but I disliked the rest of the series a lot.   IMO, I thought the "bad guys" were repetitive.  I also thought the gore was contrived.  Don't these characters ever learn?

May be the books are better on audio.  :)

Hi Adriane.  I am in Nederland TX.  Right on the coast.  I run to Texarkana everytime a hurricane comes.  Which in the past few years has been alot.  LOL.  I have already ordered the Lafay Bad Day books and can't wait to read them.  Have you read the Spellman books.  I laughed out loud and those too.  I love Janet Evanovich.  Stephanie Plum is my hero.
