A prize-winner, it ain't.

This Star Trek novel was written in the summer after the original series went on the air and is as interesting for its author comments as the story itself. The story, while better than Internet fanfic, is still not anything to write home about. It DOES give some insight into the mysterious population of the planet visited in the landmark pilot featuring Capt. Pike (my pointy ears are showing, aren't they)

Fun little read, but very lightweight.
