I don't want this day to end without wishing Kelly a Happy Birthday.  I'm not the wordsmith that my beautiful daughter is; her birthday wish to me a couple of months ago was far more eloquent than I can express, but I'm sure everyone on this forum knows what a blessing Kelly is to me.  One could not ask for, nor have, a more wonderful daughter.

Kelly -- wishing you a year filled with fun, wine, good books, chocolate, good friends, joy, good memories, laughter, good times, etc, etc. Happy Birthday!

And Linda, I'm sure that Kelly's being a wonderful daughter is a reflection of your being a wonderful mother.

Thank you, all! It's been a quiet and lazy day - which, after a rather stressful week and busy front-half of the week-end was perfect!

My day started when my very dear friend threw a jacket over her pajamas and stuck her feet into a pair of shoes so she could bring me warm monkey bread first thing this morning! The rest of the day was spent doing this and that, with a good deal of time on the phone with Linda and other family members and friends. Quite a nice day!

Mom told me a story today that I don't think I had ever heard before ... in the maternity ward with her (a very long 54 years ago!) was a young woman from Ireland who was in the hospital with her new baby daughter, born on March 16th. She also had a son, born a couple of years earlier on March 18th! She was quite disappointed that she had missed having a baby born on St. Patrick's Day by one day - twice!

As for me, I was always going to be a Kelly regardless of date of birth; it was just a happy coincidence that I was born on the day ... and, of course, it has always been great fun! 

Hope you each had a wonderful St. Paddy's Day!
