This book is profoundly disturbing. The book was written by a reporter for the Washington Post whose daughter was murdered while she was attending college in Boston. The "system" failed to protect this child, and allowed a sick and dangerous individual to repeatedly prey on young women in and around Boston. Out of this tragedy, real change occurred in the prosecuting of violent offenders. If you are interested in learning about stalking or domestic violence, this is a must read.
I, personally, was not very impressed with this book. It reminded me more of the book put out by John Walsh (the one where he writes about starting America's Most Wanted) than a regular true crime book. It was worth the read though it's not one I want to keep for my private collection.
