Classic SF from a master of both hard SF and fantasy, by the author of the Dominic Flandry series and the Polesotechnic League.
All in all, a good book. However it has many phrases/lyrics, etc in German/French/Etc that the author seems to expect you to be able to understand. Not critical, but it might be better if you understand more than I did (which was only "petite peu")
