I loved this book. I read it in two days. The American Revolution made for an exciting background to the plot. Both characters are charming and likeable. So often in romance novels, one of the characters is not very nice. You love both of these people. The story moves very quickly, the plot is very exciting, and the ending is wonderful!

As the war for independence rages, Annette Carey vows revenge after watching her father brutalized at the hands of the patriots. She strikes up a romance with an unrelenting enemy of the British Empire known only as the "Star Rider." They know it can't go on, but neither is prepared to fight what lies deep within their hearts.

"Starkeeper" is a sequel to the first part of the story which is "Starfinder". Both very good books. Need to be read together. The story of a family from Scotland after the Battle of Culloden to America in the Revolutionary War era. Well worth the read. Both books contain strife and struggle and romance and success and a whole lot of entertainment.
