So I finished a book last night and came here this morning to rate it and have it move from my TBR list to "books I've read", but the stars are all missing-- there is just blank space where the stars are supposed to be.  I tried hovering my mouse over that area and nothing shows!

I am still seeing the star ratings for books, on my TBR list , on my BIR list, on random titles I call up... where on the site are you looking where the stars are missing?

I just checked a book on my wishlist.  Clicked into the book data page, and have stars visible.

Is that because no one has rated that book yet? I hadn't given that any thought before.

Nope. Just checked. That is not the reason.

It could be a browser issue.  Are you using Firefox?

I also use Firefox, but it was acting up in my e-mail.  Apparently I didn't have the newest version, and combined with something else it was messing with my e-mail formatting.  So checking your browser for the most current edition might be helpful.

Regarding no reviews yet?  The stars still appear, they are just empty (outlines) instead of colored stars.

hmm, stars are all back now on my TBR list, but now all the "W"'s designating books as wishlisted are missing!  Both these problems ONLY occur under my TBR tab.

What browser are you using?  (As in Firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome, Safari, etc.)

This is from the help center:

Macintosh/Safari users, please read this!

If you are using a Macintosh running Safari, you may have some difficulties with several features of the PBS site:

  • Some Safari users report odd display issues

  • Most Safari users are not able to apply changes that require text entry

    • such as forum posts, profile changes and Requestor Conditions

Some versions of Safari have incompatibilities with the PBS site. These are due to changes in the Safari browser code, and are out of PBS' control. The latest Safari updates (for Leopard OS 10.5) are working well; earlier Safari versions (for Tiger, OS 10.4) those Mac users who do not have Leopard or Tiger will need to choose another browser in order to have full use of the PBS site.  No matter what version of Mac OS you have, you should download Apple's free software update (click Software Update under the blue apple on the top left of your screen).

To enter text into your public profile, forum sig, Requestor Conditions, or to Post in the forums if you have a Mac running an earlier version of Safari, you will need to use another browser.  We recommend downloading Firefox, which is a FREE browser available here.  Firefox is the optimal browser for viewing and navigating the PBS site.

much thanks, Patty.  Hubby will return late tonight from a business trip and I can ask him about it. He is in IT and usually makes sure we have the latest versions of things, but I will see.

have not had any of the issues listed:

To enter text into your public profile, forum sig, Requestor Conditions, or to Post in the forums if you have a Mac running an earlier version of Safari, you will need to use another browser.

We have version 10.8 so the issue is NOT having an old version.
