Get ready to take off on another exhilarating voyage through the stars to romance and excitement. Phoenix Landau has come a long, long way since her days as a cadet at the Academy of the Galactic Coalition Space Service. And all of it down hill. After resigning abruptly prior to graduation, she turned her talents to searching out treasured antiquities, for which there are always buyers of one kind or another. The last person she would expect to seek her services is handsome diplomat Case Remo, the man she once loved before he abandoned her to scandal and disgrace. Granted that an almost sixth sense has led her to more than one remarkable discovery, it is still difficult to understand why the Coalition is so sure that she will be able to find the missing half of the famous Star Stone, an artifact that could mean the difference between peace and war in the galaxy. Ordered to make her an offer she cannot refuse, Case, too, wonders just what is really behind this mission. If only they can survive the answers to these questions and more. Ms. Rock concocts a fast-paced adventure spiced with sizzling romance in which nothing is as it seems....
