This book was written at the height of King's popularity in the mid 80s. This was a great critique, review of King's early work up to The Talisman. Winter gets a little carried away with dropping his knowledge of classic literature on us while discussing King's work, but revisiting King's early work though this book was a lot of fun for me. The biography was a basic riview of everything else I've read about King, but there was some new insight on many of his works. Recommended.
