An acquaintance has been raving about the Alan Gregory thrillers by Stephen White. What are your views on this series?

I have to admit that I am a bit biased. Stephen White is a Colorado author and most of his books are based in Boulder, Denver and the Rocky Mountain West so it's fun to read a "local boy". Having said that, I will say that I really enjoy his books. They are similar to Jonathan Kellerman's books. While you don't have to read them in order, I prefer to read them that way. I recommend them to lovers of mysteries. :) (I think I have a couple of Stephen White books on my shelf...)

Hmmm, new to me, never heard of him. Thanks for the tip, I'll see what the library has.

I like them too.  I have been reading them in order and am almost finished with the series.  They are suspenseful but not graphic/gory like some thrillers.

Alex Delaware (Kellerman) has a lot more testosterone than Alan Gregory. You'll understand when you read the Kellerman books! ;)

Have read stephen White for years.  Just love them.  Read his last one and it was great but was disappointed in that they killed off one of the characters.  Kill Me was good two - just a bit different.

I just finished (and posted) 'The Program' by him and it was fantastic!  It was the first of his books that I have read but will definately follow Dr. Alan Gregory from now on.

I like them a lot. They are very well written and the mysterys are always excellent.

I have to second everyone else.  I've read them all and in order and love them. I like the way his relationships are developed without sacrificing the plot.

The new Stephen White book is in bookstores now. I'm avoiding the bookstore because I don't have the money to buy a brand new HB book! LOL. :)
